AIKE is delighted to present "STREET DOG", a solo exhibition by Nathan Zhou. The artist will transform the display exhibition space into a private cafe with a distinctive style of his own, the application of highly vivid and saturated colour palette, and the powerful expression of intuitiveness, which will provide the artist and viewers with alternative attitude and method to deal with the world. The exhibition will be on view from December 29, 2018 to March 3, 2019.
关于艺术家
Born in 1980 in Dongguan, Guangzhou. He currently lives and works in Shanghai. Using graffiti and collage as primary technique he infuses his works with the strong look of a personal diary.
Deciduous topics, captivating image, narrative chronicle and artist’s unique language are united as a method, creating fulfilling and inspiring tension, that echoes in different works by the artist, analogous to repeated syncopation in Jazz music. His recent solo exhibition includes ‘Star Fires, Players Win: The Beautiful New World 1984', Paper Wonder, Xiamen, China, 2018; ’Ghost Dog: The Way of The Lofi King’, Tabula Rasa gallery, Beijing, China, 2017; ’Henri Chinaski’s Short Stories Collection’, AIKE, Shanghai, China, 2016; ’Jericho’, Shanghai V Space, Shanghai, China, 2016; Nathan Zhou's works have been exhibited at Sifang Art Museum (Nanjing), chi K11 Art Museum (Shanghai).
